Lindy Lab
Lifelong Learning
Day & Time: Wednesday, 18:45 – 20:10
Dates: 20.10.2021 – 03.11.2021
The goal of this course is to keep moving your Lindy Hop forward, while always returning to strong fundamentals. The content in any course round will be adapted to your group’s needs as you develop. What makes the Lindy Lab different from Swing 1-6 is that it’s not a one-time course; it’s a group to stay with and train with over time.
The content varies from group to group; typical topics are:
- Fancy turns and variations
- Geeky exercises to improve your quality of movement
- Musicality, style, and rhythm
- Fast music / Charleston variations
- Techniques to actively follow and sensitively lead
In order to move on to a Lindy Lab course we expect you to have completed our full Swing 1 to Swing 6 syllabus, or equivalent knowledge, with plenty of practice and social dancing experience, to have a solid foundation for your dancing.
If you are not sure whether the course is right for you, don’t hesitate to ask us 🙂

Our Studio in the Ringstraße
Ringstraße 19A
69115 Heidelberg
The building is at the intersection of Ringstraße with Hildastraße, our entrance is at the north-east corner, from the Ringstraße.
The building is closed on evenings and weekends, please use the buzzer so we can let you in. Our studio is in the “souterrain” – go downstairs and follow the sound of swing music 😉
Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof”, “Ringstraße”, or “Römerkreis Süd”.
Parking: it can be a bit tricky to find parking spots, so you should plan in some extra time. There’s a little bit of free street parking available in the Ringstraße (with Parkscheibe), metred parking at Kaiserstr and Belfortstr (the metre is at Kaiserstr 60). You can also try a nearby Parkhaus: there’s the nearby Scheck-In Centre (entrance from Kleinschmidtstraße), or a bit further away the P1 (entrance from Poststraße).
Accessibility: our studio is wheelchair-accessible, but the elevator is in a locked area of the building. If you have any mobility issues please contact us in advance so that we can arrange access for you.
