Sugar Push Clinic
Weg mit dem Sugar-Pfusch!
Day & Time: Tuesday, 21:00 – 22:00
Dates: 09.04.2024 – 14.05.2024
When a sugar push feels good, it can be one of the most fun moves in all of Lindy Hop. But it’s also one of the most challenging moves to dance well. In this course we will take our time with this exciting move, refining the technique and making it feel and look great.
This course is really all about the sugar push. You will deepen your knowledge and expand your skills, and of course we’ll also bring in a little spice.
- precision footwork
- timing and connection
- for followers: how to fully integrate swivels into your sugar push
- for both: variation and styling
This course builds up on the basic sugar push as you learned it, for example in our course "Sugar Pushes", and adds new layers of technical difficulty.
If you haven’t taken "Sugar Pushes" with us: we recommend that you have had about a year of regular class and social dance experience and taken at least several weeks of classes that focused on the sugar push. Otherwise you might want to consider taking Swing 6 instead, to develop your basic sugar push.
If you are not sure how to decide, don’t hesitate to ask us!

Here’s where Sugar Push Clinic takes place:
SwingStation Kurfürsten-Anlage 58
69115 Heidelberg
The entrance is on the eastern side of the building, reachable from the Kurfürsten-Anlage itself or from the Kirchstraße. Our studio is on the ground floor, at the end of the hall.
Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof” or “Stadtwerke”.
Parking: please do not park in the yard, the parking spaces don’t belong to us and you might get a ticket. It’s hard to find parking spots in our area, so you should plan in some extra time. You can try to find street parking in the Kirchstraße or Vangerowstraße, or you might need to go to a nearby Parkhaus (e.g. P1 in the Poststraße) and walk from there.
