Lindy Hop Workshop
Boost your Dancing and Explore Your Unique Dance Style
August 22-23, 2026
Boost is aimed at experienced Lindy Hoppers. New to the dance? Check out our page for new dancers!
This Lindy Hop workshop offers a unique blend of classes and practice time that help you see real progress right away.
During the classes, we’ll share our latest understanding of the dance to spark new ideas. Then, in the practice sessions, we provide the time and support you need to incorporate these insights into your dancing and allow you to develop your own unique style.
How does it work?
Each day starts with an hour-long class and a half-hour practice session; after that we’ll have shorter bursts, swapping back and forth between class time and practice time. The classes will inspire you with new ideas and give you specific goals to work on. The practice sessions give you time to incorporate them, and to explore further and develop your unique dance voice.
Over the weekend you’ll have a total of 8 hours of training.
Don’t miss this chance to refine your Lindy Hop skills and create lasting memories with like-minded dancers!

Group Descriptions
Group 1
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop for at least half a year, and you’ve jumped in with both feet and you’re ready for a deep dive. You have a comfortable repertoire of Lindy Hop basics – you’re familiar with iconic moves like tuck turns and passbys, and you’re able to dance your movements both using triple steps and in Charleston.
This group is great for you if you want to find yourself more in the dance – give yourself the time and focus to let things “click”, and fit what you’ve learned already into a bigger picture.
Group 2
You’re an experienced Lindy Hopper. You have a wide repertoire of moves, you’re comfortable dancing fast, or slow, or anything in between, and you have a lot of experience social dancing and adjusting to lots of different partners.
In this workshop you’re not interested in just getting another fancy move; you want to dig deep and go back to the basic elements of the dance with fresh eyes to uncover more options and develop your dance identity.

Our Studio in the Ringstraße
Ringstraße 19A
69115 Heidelberg
The building is at the intersection of Ringstraße with Hildastraße, our entrance is at the north-east corner, from the Ringstraße.
The building is closed on evenings and weekends, please use the buzzer so we can let you in. Our studio is in the “souterrain” – go downstairs and follow the sound of swing music 😉
Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof”, “Ringstraße”, or “Römerkreis Süd”.
Parking: it can be a bit tricky to find parking spots, so you should plan in some extra time. There’s a little bit of free street parking available in the Ringstraße (with Parkscheibe), metred parking at Kaiserstr and Belfortstr (the metre is at Kaiserstr 60). You can also try a nearby Parkhaus: there’s the nearby Scheck-In Centre (entrance from Kleinschmidtstraße), or a bit further away the P1 (entrance from Poststraße).
Accessibility: our studio is wheelchair-accessible, but the elevator is in a locked area of the building. If you have any mobility issues please contact us in advance so that we can arrange access for you. Two bathrooms (single-cabin, non-gendered) are near our room, however the doors unfortunately may not be wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
