Beginner Review
Get Confident with Your Basics
Day & Time: Thursday, 19:00 – 20:00
Dates: 10.09.2026 – 10.09.2026
You got started with Lindy Hop but took a break? Maybe you took a few weeks of classes, but now you feel like you've forgotten everything? We'll get you ready for the dance floor again!
We'll remind you of some basic movements and principles of Lindy Hop (for instance, things you might have learned in our Lindy Hop Starter Kit course). You'll work on your movement, your leading or following skills, and of course also learn some playful elements along the way 😉
If you plan to join our Lindy Hop Fundamentals course, or you just want a little refresher before the next social dance, this class is for you!
What should I already know before joining this course?
In order to join this course, you should have a little bit of experience dancing Lindy Hop, Charleston, or other swing dances. Perhaps you've taken our "Lindy Hop Starter Kit", or you've learned some moves at events like Strandbar Swingt or Chapel Swing. Things like:
- Charleston basics in closed
- Open position basics such as underarm turns.
Don't worry if it's been a long time since you did them though - we'll help bring you up to speed no matter how long it's been 😉
If you've never done any swing dancing before, get ready for a challenge!

Location
Our Studio in the Ringstraße
Ringstraße 19A
69115 Heidelberg
The building is at the intersection of Ringstraße with Hildastraße, our entrance is at the north-east corner, from the Ringstraße.
The building is closed on evenings and weekends, please use the buzzer so we can let you in. Our studio is in the “souterrain” – go downstairs and follow the sound of swing music 😉
Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof”, “Ringstraße”, or “Römerkreis Süd”.
Parking: it can be a bit tricky to find parking spots, so you should plan in some extra time. There’s a little bit of free street parking available in the Ringstraße (with Parkscheibe),metred parking at Kaiserstr and Belfortstr (the metre is at Kaiserstr 60). You can also try a nearby Parkhaus: there’s the nearby Scheck-In Centre (entrance from Kleinschmidtstraße),or a bit further away the P1 (entrance from Poststraße).
Accessibility: our studio is wheelchair-accessible, but the elevator is in a locked area of the building. If you have any mobility issues please contact us in advance so that we can arrange access for you. Two bathrooms (single-cabin, non-gendered) are near our room, however the doors unfortunately may not be wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
