Charleston Transitions
Kicks and Flow
Day & Time: Wednesday, 20:15 – 21:15
Dates: 29.07.2026 – 05.08.2026
There are so many fun and flashy moves you can do in partnered Charleston. But they can also be pretty tricky - you need great balance and coordination to really make them fly. In this course, we'll explore fun and fancy entries and exits between classic Charleston positions like Airplane, Hand-to-Hand, and Tandem.
What do I need in order to join this course?
We recommend that you already have plenty of experience with Charleston. A few of the classic positions such as Hand-to-Hand, Tandem and Airplane should already be in your repertoire. If, for example, the moves and concepts from our "Charleston Classics" course are already comfortably part of your social dance repertoire, then you have what you need for this course.

Location
Our Studio in the Ringstraße
Ringstraße 19A
69115 Heidelberg
The building is at the intersection of Ringstraße with Hildastraße, our entrance is at the north-east corner, from the Ringstraße.
The building is closed on evenings and weekends, please use the buzzer so we can let you in. Our studio is in the “souterrain” – go downstairs and follow the sound of swing music 😉
Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof”, “Ringstraße”, or “Römerkreis Süd”.
Parking: it can be a bit tricky to find parking spots, so you should plan in some extra time. There’s a little bit of free street parking available in the Ringstraße (with Parkscheibe),metred parking at Kaiserstr and Belfortstr (the metre is at Kaiserstr 60). You can also try a nearby Parkhaus: there’s the nearby Scheck-In Centre (entrance from Kleinschmidtstraße),or a bit further away the P1 (entrance from Poststraße).
Accessibility: our studio is wheelchair-accessible, but the elevator is in a locked area of the building. If you have any mobility issues please contact us in advance so that we can arrange access for you. Two bathrooms (single-cabin, non-gendered) are near our room, however the doors unfortunately may not be wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
