Electric Slide
Free! Supercool Line Dance

Day & Time: Thursday, 18:30 – 19:30

Dates: 04.01.2024 – 04.01.2024

The Electric Slide is a four-wall line dance, one of the best-known social choreographies in Black American culture. It originated in the late 1970s, and it's still going strong! It's become fairly popular at weddings, but you don't need to plan one in order to enjoy this laid-back and funky dance 😉 Once you have the choreography down, there's no holding back in adding your own flourishes. Hand claps, finger snaps, and silly poses are all fair game!

This course is open to all, no matter whether you have tons of experience dancing, or it's your first time. This class is also free - you don't need a ticket or subscription to participate. Everyone is welcome!

Here’s where Electric Slide takes place:

SwingStation Kurfürsten-Anlage 58
69115 Heidelberg

The entrance is on the eastern side of the building, reachable from the Kurfürsten-Anlage itself or from the Kirchstraße. Our studio is on the ground floor, at the end of the hall.

Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof” or “Stadtwerke”.

Parking: please do not park in the yard, the parking spaces don’t belong to us and you might get a ticket. It’s hard to find parking spots in our area, so you should plan in some extra time. You can try to find street parking in the Kirchstraße or Vangerowstraße, or you might need to go to a nearby Parkhaus (e.g. P1 in the Poststraße) and walk from there.
