Learn the Other Role
Twice the Fun
Day & Time: Thursday, 19:00 – 20:00
Dates: 20.08.2026 – 27.08.2026
Learning both dance roles is not only a lot of fun, but also gives you a deeper understanding of dance in general. You get twice as many partners - no waiting at the side of the dance floor! And learning both roles means you can also start switching between leader and follower roles within a dance, creating even more possibilities for conversation and play in the dance.
Which role should I select in the registration form?
Please select the role you want to learn in this course. For instance, if you usually dance as a leader, and want to learn following, then you should register as a follower.
What should I already know before joining this course?
For this course, you should have at least a few months' experience dancing Lindy Hop- for instance having done Lindy Hop Starter Kit, Lindy Hop Fundamentals and Tucks & Turns with us. The specific moves you've learned are not important, but you should feel comfortable with a basic Lindy Hop repertoire.
You do *not* need to have prior experience dancing in your less familiar role - that's what you'll learn in this course!

Location
Our Studio in the Ringstraße
Ringstraße 19A
69115 Heidelberg
The building is at the intersection of Ringstraße with Hildastraße, our entrance is at the north-east corner, from the Ringstraße.
The building is closed on evenings and weekends, please use the buzzer so we can let you in. Our studio is in the “souterrain” – go downstairs and follow the sound of swing music 😉
Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof”, “Ringstraße”, or “Römerkreis Süd”.
Parking: it can be a bit tricky to find parking spots, so you should plan in some extra time. There’s a little bit of free street parking available in the Ringstraße (with Parkscheibe),metred parking at Kaiserstr and Belfortstr (the metre is at Kaiserstr 60). You can also try a nearby Parkhaus: there’s the nearby Scheck-In Centre (entrance from Kleinschmidtstraße),or a bit further away the P1 (entrance from Poststraße).
Accessibility: our studio is wheelchair-accessible, but the elevator is in a locked area of the building. If you have any mobility issues please contact us in advance so that we can arrange access for you. Two bathrooms (single-cabin, non-gendered) are near our room, however the doors unfortunately may not be wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.
