Role-Switching Moves
Twice the Fun
Day & Time: Tuesday, 19:00 – 21:15
Dates: 10.09.2024 – 10.09.2024
Learning both dance roles is not only a lot of fun, but also gives you a deeper understanding of dance in general. By switching between leader and follower roles within a dance, you and your dance partner can experience even more diversity and create a whole new level of communication in dance.
This course is all about changing it up: switching between leading and following within a single dance. Elegantly changing roles, without interrupting the flow of your dance, adds excitement and variety to your communication. As a side benefit, learning more about both roles gives you a deeper understanding of dancing in general. But the main benefit is: tons of new ways to have fun with your partner on the dance floor!
In order to join this course, you should be able to comfortably dance basics such as tuck turn and swing out in your usual dance role. A little experience dancing the other role will also be very helpful. If you can’t comfortably dance a few basics in both roles, be ready for a big challenge 😉
NOTE: please register in your USUAL ROLE. For instance if you usually dance as a follower, then please sign up as a follower. Of course, in class you'll spend most of your time dancing as a leader, but the official sign-up role is still "follower".

The entrance is on the eastern side of the building, reachable from the Kurfürsten-Anlage itself or from the Kirchstraße. Our studio is on the ground floor, at the end of the hall.
Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof” or “Stadtwerke”.
Parking: please do not park in the yard, the parking spaces don’t belong to us and you might get a ticket. It’s hard to find parking spots in our area, so you should plan in some extra time. You can try to find street parking in the Kirchstraße or Vangerowstraße, or you might need to go to a nearby Parkhaus (e.g. P1 in the Poststraße) and walk from there.
