Two-Step Variations
Expression and Connection
Day & Time: Monday, 20:15 – 21:15
Dates: 14.07.2025 – 21.07.2025
(By request, based on Laura & Kris's recent Tuesday Lifelong Learning classes)
Jockeys, rocks, fishtails, funky butt... such simple footwork, and so much variety!
It's tempting to get caught up in fancy partnered moves, or in creating tons of footwork ""stylings"". But often the best moments in a partnered dance are when you don't need all that: just sharing a groove with your partner, with a few little nuances to connect you both to the music, can feel amazing. In this class, we'll explore some two-step options, and dig into the details that can give them such an amazing feeling: balance and flexibility, isolations versus integrations, clear timing and partner communication. Come two-step with us!
What should I know in order to join this course?
For this course, we recommend you have at least a few months' experience dancing Lindy Hop - for instance having done Lindy Hop Starter Kit, Lindy Hop Fundamentals and Tucks & Turns with us. The specific moves you've learned are not important, but you should feel comfortable with a basic Lindy Hop repertoire. If you're not sure if the course is right for you, please feel free to ask us!

All Info at Once
Here’s where Two-Step Variations takes place:
SwingStation Kurfürsten-Anlage 58
69115 Heidelberg
The entrance is on the eastern side of the building, reachable from the Kurfürsten-Anlage itself or from the Kirchstraße. Our studio is on the ground floor, at the end of the hall.
Public Transportation: many busses, streetcars, trains; stops “Hauptbahnhof” or “Stadtwerke”.
Parking: please do not park in the yard, the parking spaces don’t belong to us and you might get a ticket. It’s hard to find parking spots in our area, so you should plan in some extra time. You can try to find street parking in the Kirchstraße or Vangerowstraße, or you might need to go to a nearby Parkhaus (e.g. P1 in the Poststraße) and walk from there.
